The summer of 2025 will be with and about football, especially in June when the UEFA Under-19 Championship comes to Romania! We once again have the opportunity to organize a major event in the European football phenomenon, so the Volunteer Program will have a special role!
15 matches will be organized in the four stadiums: Giulești Stadium (Bucharest), Arcul de Triumf Stadium (Bucharest), Anghel Iordanescu Stadium (Voluntari) and Ilie Oana Stadium (Ploiesti). For sure, we will have a fair share of football, unforgettable moments and many unique experiences!
Thus, the volunteers will be part of the organization, development and success of the championship. They will have the opportunity to contribute their knowledge and skills, to be part of a team with shared values and passions, to be “behind the scenes” at a very attractive UEFA event.
Who are we looking for the volunteer team?
This volunteer program is open to all interested persons who have reached the age of 18 by February 16, 2025, inclusive, being a mandatory condition. We want volunteers who are passionate about sports, volunteering, social impact and personal and professional development! Be eager for new experiences, curious to try different roles, proactive in key situations and excited with their colleagues!

Volunteers in this role are trained during specific trainings to be back-up for each role in the tournament. In unforeseen situations, volunteers can fill in for absent volunteers or step in for specific roles that need help. They have a dynamic role and get involved according to the needs communicated by the Venue Volunteer Manager.
Volunteers will be involved in organizing pre-match ceremonies (fan entertainment inside and outside the stadium).
The volunteers will be responsible for welcoming, informing, entertaining and accompanying at all times the children who will accompany the players onto the pitch during the opening ceremony of the match.
Volunteers will be tasked with notifying players selected for a doping control and accompanying them from the time they are notified until the doping test is completed.
Volunteers in this role have responsibilities regarding: development, implementation and delivery of catering and hospitality services for various target groups at stadiums within the tournament (VIPs, officials, commercial partners and corporate guests).
Volunteers in this role have responsibilities regarding: planning and delivery of services and facilities for local and international media representatives who will journalistically cover the UEFA Under 19 Championship Romania 2025 tournament.
Volunteers in this role have responsibilities for: mobility, interaction and information of the spectators present at the stadium, They will contribute to ensuring and improving the experience of the spectators during the 15 matches.
Volunteers in this role have responsibilities for: the delivery of ticketing services and will in most situations be the main point of contact for ticket holders. They will deal with their questions, provide them with information consistent with the ticketing policy. They will assist the ticketing team with the resolution of various situations within the ticket sales/collection locations at the stadiums.
Volunteers in this role have responsibilities regarding: registration, creation, printing and distribution of credentials, they will ensure all these processes within the Credentials Center.
During the tournament, the stadiums will be divided into different areas such as the pitch, changing rooms and media area. In order to fulfill their role, each person in the tournament must hold a valid accredited document, which they will receive from the accreditation center located near each stadium.
All volunteer activities will be planned and implemented by the Volunteer Management team. This team will be responsible for looking after the volunteers and making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible.
The final tournament that will decide the new Under 19 European champion. The 8 qualifiers will fight for the trophy, and the 15 matches will be played in Romania, the host country.
The volunteer program will contribute to the smooth running of the tournament and volunteers will be involved in various roles (see section above). The volunteer program of this event is implemented in the host cities by the Romanian Football Federation, which wants to recruit and motivate a team of volunteers who are passionate, enthusiastic and eager to impact society.
The tournament takes place from June 13 to June 26, 2025. The matches will take place as follows:
Volunteering is unpaid work, but it is very valuable for the experience of the people who get involved, to help them in their personal and professional development.

Participating as a volunteer in the UEFA Under 19 Championship Romania 2025 will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you will share with thousands of people who will amplify the excitement and joy of every minute of the event.
The UEFA Under 19 Championship Romania 2025 volunteering program does not cover the costs of transport to and from Bucharest/Ploiesti/Voluntari, nor the possible accommodation costs of volunteers coming from outside these cities. Volunteers will have a meal provided during volunteer shifts.
Volunteers will not be able to watch the matches as spectators. Of course, being part of the event’s organizing team, they will be in the heart of the venue, surrounded by the atmosphere of the tournament. However, the volunteers will have a space set up to watch the matches within the Volunteer Centers.
Volunteers will be assigned to the roles they will be active in by the Volunteer Management team. Applicants will be able to express their preferred options for the roles they wish to work in on the application form and subsequently in recruitment interviews.
Volunteers will not be able to have activities in two different roles.
Exceptions may be volunteers from the role of ACE Volunteer, those who will be replaced/supplemented for various roles, if necessary.
In principle, volunteers must be available between 10-27.06.2025. Final information on assigned roles and final shift schedule will be available after the recruitment process is complete.
